Ending

You said, I do not choose you anymore.
I had no words left in me to reply.
Strange, how so recently I had a store
That overflowed in fresh and full supply.
I'm empty now of even breath and blood,
Weak, pale, and staggering along the shore.
The tides retreat, where once they came to flood
Around our feet to hear the vows we swore.

Those vows are glittering now on the rocks
In brilliant pieces, gems for crows to peck.
And in the distance, menacing the docks,
Loom jagged pieces of our stunning wreck.

What we've done badly, still we've done it well.
I light the fuse, and blow it all to hell.
